Weekly Beef Export Sales 03/19 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 302,400 pieces for 2026 were down 9 percent
from the previous week, but up 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were primarily for China (224,100 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 10,300 pieces), South Korea (31,700 whole cattle hides),
Mexico (18,100 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 7,100 pieces),
Thailand (13,500 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 700 pieces),
and India (6,800 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 200 pieces).
Exports of 350,900 whole cattle hides were up 25 percent from the previous
week and 6 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were
primarily to China (215,700 pieces), Mexico (48,800 pieces), Thailand
(30,500 pieces), South Korea (17,400 pieces), and Turkey (13,100 pieces).
Net sales reductions of 536,800 wet blues for 2026 were down noticeably
from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases
primarily for Brazil (19,300 unsplit), Italy (15,300 unsplit, including
decreases of 100 unsplit), Vietnam (8,500 unsplit), the Dominican Republic
(3,100 unsplit), and Thailand (200 unsplit), were more than offset by
reductions for Spain (577,700 unsplit), Mexico (3,400 unsplit), and China
(2,200 unsplit). Total net sales of 300 other excluding wet blues were for
China. Exports of 120,600 wet blues were down 27 percent from the previous
week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were
primarily to Vietnam (32,800 unsplit), Italy (27,100 unsplit), China
(22,200 unsplit and 2,400 grain splits), Brazil (11,200 unsplit), and
Bangladesh (10,600 unsplit). Exports of 2,200 other excluding wet blues
were to Turkey (1,500 pounds) and Mexico (700 pounds). Net sales
reductions of 26,800 splits reported for Vietnam (85,300 pounds, including
84,000 pounds switched from Taiwan), were more than offset by reductions
for Taiwan (112,100 pounds). Exports of 85,300 splits were to Vietnam.
Beef: Net sales of 3,200 MT for 2026--a marketing-year low--were down 87
percent from the previous week and 80 percent from the prior 4-week
average. Increases primarily for Japan (3,800 MT, including decreases of
200 MT), Hong Kong (1,600 MT, including decreases of 1,000 MT), Taiwan
(800 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Canada (400 MT, including
decreases of 100 MT), and Indonesia (200 MT), were offset by reductions
for South Korea (3,600 MT), the Philippines (300 MT), Guatemala (300 MT),
Mexico (100 MT), and Peru (100 MT). Exports of 13,600 MT were up 19
percent from the previous week and 2 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea (4,400 MT), Japan
(4,100 MT), Mexico (1,300 MT), Hong Kong (1,300 MT), and Taiwan (1,100
MT).
Pork: Net sales of 28,300 MT for 2026 were up 19 percent from the previous
week, but down 13 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
primarily for Mexico (7,500 MT, including decreases of 1,100 MT), South
Korea (5,700 MT, including decreases of 800 MT), China (3,500 MT,
including decreases of 100 MT), Japan (2,800 MT, including decreases of
400 MT), and Colombia (2,500 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), were
offset by reductions for the Philippines (100 MT). Exports of 35,700 MT
were down 8 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-
week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (15,200 MT), Japan
(4,500 MT), South Korea (4,100 MT), China (3,300 MT), and Colombia (2,000
MT).
